1 Year Warranty
Products distributed by Carlyle that carry a 1 Year Warranty are guaranteed to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship when delivered to the customer. Some Carlyle
products carry specific manufacturer warranties or require special handling procedures.
If the product purchased carries a specific written manufacturer’s warranty or is
considered a “Repair and Return” item, the NAPA AUTO PARTS store should instruct the
end user to handle the warranty in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty program
or expedite the “Repair and Return” of the products purchased. It is our objective to fairly
handle all warranty adjustments in a manner that will satisfy our customer.
This warranty covers the cost of the defective product only and does not cover the cost of
installation. Carlyle reserves the right to refuse credit in the event that any damage to the
product resulted from collision, improper installation, or other customer abuses. This
policy extends only to the original purchaser of the product and is nontransferable. The
Carlyle Policy is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, with the exception of
consumer warranties as provided with the packaged product.
In warranty cases, those
wishing to handle the warranty procedure directly with the manufacturer are welcome to
do so. Credit will not be issued on warranty items specified for “Repair and Return”. Carlyle
will not issue defective credit on assortments or kits as component parts are offered
individually in Carlyle’s line of products.
In most cases, the kit or the assortment can be
broken down into its individual component parts and replace only those parts which are
truly defective. All alleged defects should be returned from the NAPA AUTO PARTS store
to the NAPA Distribution Center and then the Distribution Center is to request an RGA from
their servicing Carlyle Operation. Carlyle will review defective credit requests and issue
credit on all items accompanied by the proper proof of purchase.
1 Year Repair Return
This NAPA product line is warranted against defects in material & workmanship for a
period of one year / 12 months from the date of the original purchase.
Carlyle Professional Hand Tools warrants to the original purchaser that the company’s
torque wrenches are free from defects in material or workmanship during the one year / 12
months’ warranty period.
We will repair any manual click torque wrenches which fail to
give satisfactory service due to defective workmanship or materials (excluding calibration)
for one year / 12 months from the date of original purchase. (Calibration is only covered by
this warranty for each new unused torque wrench out of the box.) Products must be
returned with proof of purchase, freight prepaid, to the warranty service center listed
below.
This warranty excludes torque wrenches which have been subjected to abnormal use,
accident, neglect, or lack of maintenance. Any modification, disassembly of this wrench or
repair by an unauthorized service center will void the warranty.
This warranty gives you the specific rights. You may also have other rights which vary from
state to state. The foregoing obligation is Carlyle Professional Hand Tools sole liability
under this or any implied warranty and under no circumstances shall Carlyle Professional
Hand Tools be liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
2 Year Warranty

2 Year Repair Return
Products distributed by Carlyle that carry a 2 year repair and return warranty are
guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when delivered to the
customer. Some Carlyle products carry specific manufacturer warranties or require
special handling procedures.
When a customer experiences operating problems with a product within 30 days of the
original purchase, the NAPA Auto Parts store will be authorized to exchange the alleged
defective item for a new one. The alleged defective item should be returned to your
serving NAPA Distribution Center, who in turn will return the item to their servicing Carlyle
operation.
All alleged defective items must be accompanied by a receipt for proof of
purchase, showing the purchase and exchange transaction took place within the warranty
exchange period. The defective tag and RGN should be marked clearly as a “New
Defective”. After the exchange period, this item will carry an additional 23 month repair or
replace warranty. During the additional 23 month period, the alleged defective item will be
repaired or replaced at Carlyle’s option.
The alleged defective must be sent to an
authorized Warranty Repair Center, freight prepaid. To ensure the repair and return of the
item we require a sales receipt for proof of purchase and a completed copy of the NAPA
defective tag.

Individual Parts Warranty
Products distributed by Carlyle Tools that carry a No Warranty, Individual Components Warranty Applies are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when delivered to the customer. Tool sets and kit warranties apply to individual components, not the set or kit.
In no event shall NAPA AUTO PARTS stores, Distribution Centers, or their suppliers be liable for incidental or consequential damage. Items that fall into this category include but are not limited to Hand Tool sets or kits.
Limited Lifetime
Products distributed by that carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty are covered from the date
of sale and are warranted against defects in material and workmanship. With proof of sale,
a defective product will be replaced free of charge. This warranty does not cover
expendable parts that can wear out from normal use within the warranty period.
This warranty covers the cost of the defective product only. Carlyle reserves the right to
refuse credit in the event that any damage to the product resulted from customer abuse.

Products distributed by Carlyle that carry a No Expressed or Implied Warranty are
guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when delivered to the
customer. THERE ARE NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTIBILITY OR FITNESS. In
no event shall NAPA Auto Parts stores, Distribution Centers, or their suppliers be liable for
incidental or consequential damage. Items that fall into this category include but are not
limited to tool sets or kits, razors, blades, replacement tips, cutting, grinding, filing, and
threading tools, vehicle or tool software. Tool sets and kit warranties apply to individual
components, not the set or kit.
